What We Do Not Offer

Clear expectations protect your time, your budget, and your build. Hereโ€™s what Black Vortex Racing does not take onโ€”plus what we recommend instead.

Not our lane

Work We Donโ€™t Take

We focus on aftermarket mechanical work, fabrication, and specialty installs. If a job falls outside that scope, weโ€™ll tell you up front and help point you in the right direction.

Collision and bodywork

Body work is limited to welding on panels (no paint). We donโ€™t do collision repair, frame pulls, or insurance work. For accident damage, we recommend a dedicated collision shop.

Engine and transmission rebuilds

Offered case-by-case depending on the job. If itโ€™s a good fit for our shop and schedule, we can take on engine/trans rebuildsโ€”otherwise weโ€™ll recommend a dedicated machine shop or builder.

Forged carbon aero and body panels

We do offer forged/reforged carbon aero kits and body panels. Contact us with what youโ€™re looking for and weโ€™ll confirm options, lead times, and installation details.

Tires, alignments, and balancing

We donโ€™t mount/balance tires or perform alignments. A tire/alignment shop is the best fit for that equipment and workflow.

State inspections and emissions testing

We donโ€™t offer inspection stickers or emissions testing. If your build needs compliance checks, weโ€™ll recommend a local inspection station.

Contact Us

Quick Clarifications

These come up often. If youโ€™re unsure, call or text and weโ€™ll give you a straight answer.

Do you install customer-supplied parts?

Often, yesโ€”if the parts are reputable and complete. We may decline unknown/low-quality parts that risk fitment issues or safety.

Do you work on rusted or seized hardware?

We can, but it changes the scope. If we expect broken fasteners or extra labor, weโ€™ll explain the risk and options before proceeding.

Do you do โ€œquickโ€ same-day jobs?

Sometimes. Weโ€™re appointment-based and quality-first, so timing depends on the job complexity and current schedule.

Will you tune or flash ECUs?

Yes. We offer tuning servicesโ€”reach out with your vehicle details and goals so we can confirm fitment, hardware, and expectations.

Do you diagnose every check-engine light?

We can help with diagnostics support, but some issues require dealer-level tooling or specialty diagnostics. Weโ€™ll be transparent about limits.

Do you do custom work without a plan?

Weโ€™ll help define the plan first. Custom work needs clear goals, parts list, and constraints so the result is safe and repeatable.
